Bethanamist announces the appointment of Dr. Ken Wiant as CFO.
In addition to his role as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for Bethanamist, Ken Wiant is Professor of Finance at Tennessee Tech University. During Dr. Wiant's 28 years as a faculty member at Florida Atlantic University and Tennessee Tech, he served his institutions with over 12 years in administrative and professional leadership roles as Associate Dean of FAU's College of Business, Associate Vice President for Finance for four of FAU's seven campuses, Campus Vice President (campus executive) for three of FAU's campuses, Director of TTU's Technology Institute, Interim Dean of TTU's College of Business, and Interim Department Chair of Computer Science in TTU's College of Engineering.
Prior to earning his Ph.D. in 1991, Ken was a commercial lender and banking center manager for a large Florida bank. He served in the U.S. Air Force (1975-1979) as a crew chief of the F-4 Phantom II fighter aircraft.
October 9, 2018:
Bethanamist had a very productive Type B pre-IND meeting with the FDA’s Center for Drug Evaluation and Research (CDER) at FDA’s headquarters in Silver Spring, Maryland. Bethanamist representatives outlined the Company’s development plans including its non-clinical testing, as well as Chemistry, Manufacturing and Control (CMC) measures, and design of its Phase II clinical trial. The Company agreed with CDER’s recommendations and the Agency agrees with Bethanamist’s plan to follow the accelerated 505(b)(2) regulatory pathway.
